panel lights

Ok so here is my issue this morning i started the car and turned the lights on and the entire dash panel along with my foglights went black. I check the small light fuse in the engine bay and it was blown. I replaced the 10 fuse with a brand new one and immediately it blow again. I have foglights wired directly to my running/ parking lights. Do i need to get a bigger fuse such as a 15 or what? The foglights have been installed on the car since 8 months ago and i never had this issue, so any suggestions? Thanks

possibly check if the foglights are grounded properly

Anything else you installed on the car recently aside from the fog lights, switch, etc? Might be a lose power wire somewhere (e.g. exposed terminal, connectors, taps) that's touching a metallic surface.

Under-hood fuse 2 (small light) should be 15A. (At least for the 01-05 series.)

If a 15A fuse blows, I would give the fog lights their own fuse and wiring. They draw a lot of current.

bumps for all the help, figured out the problem though...One of the parking lights bulb was blown and it was overloading the other, which cause the fuse to blow. I replaced both bulbs+ the fuse and checked the wires everything is good now.

Just remember when you wire it up like you have, that you are pulling the current for your fog lights through your parking light wiring. This can come back and bite you too.
