Air mix control motor replacement

Ok so basically I have a problem which some of you may have encountered. My climate control is not working properly, the air mix lever (driver side, underneath dash) only moves either when I set the temperature to max hot or cold, it doesn't move in between. I've done the climate control unit diagnostic test and it didn't blink at all.

As described in another post by someone: "on the passanger side of the car and look under the dash between the d/side and p/side. Look up into the dash from there and then turn the temp knob(make sure the power is on) and look for a little white lever to move".

I am assuming it has something to do with the air mix control motor. Now, how do I replace it? (couldn't find a DIY on that and I've searched). Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

The air mix control motor should set a CCU code if there's a problem with it. Sounds more like a binding problem with the linkage to me, but there's a test for the motor on pg 21-43 of the Helm.

I have the same problem. When I switch from one temp to another I can here a pop under the dash. Up underneath the driver side dash I can manually turn the cog to move the air blend door to get heat or cool air. Seems to me it's going to be a real pain in the ass to get it off. Hopefully someone can offer some advice to get it off.

You ever get this sorted out?
I'm having to replace my air mix motor since it's completely broken. Was looking for an easy way to get at it and replace it
