So i want more horse power but i dont want my car to be super loud and sound like shit. Right now i have a resonator. I have leaks in the back close to my muffler so i want to raplace my exaust system but i heard straight pipe gives it more HP. Whats better? Straight pipe? Sport catalytic ? Or resonator?
You sound confused, bro. A straight pipe will be super loud. A resonator and a catalytic converter are not the same thing. You can get a "sport catalytic" or you can use your original cat or you can eliminate it altogether. I would recommend a full stainless steel exhaust system (which will likely include a resonator). Get a name brand system like the Invidia Q300. The cheap ones will be loud.
OP, if you don't want to spend 5 or 600 on a name brand system (which I recommend), then AT LEAST get a Yonaka brand system over the shitty catbacks on Ebay that are under $200. I have a Yonaka catback on my daily driver Civic and it's a nice system for the money. Little bit of a growl, but not loud or annoying at all.
