Replacement of stock struts/springs

Hey all,

My struts are busted and gone. I'm in the market to replace my 02 base auto with a fresh set of struts/springs. I've always had great luck with the eibach/koni combo with my Integra's in the past. Suggestions. Also, depending on the kit I purchase will a camber kit have to be purchase?

Best regards,

Timmay

No need for a camber kit. Tein, BC and Ksport make great products

Get a set of Tein coilovers, you can get them for around $500. Will ride much better than any koni or eibach combo.

Are you talking about the Eibach Pro-Kit or the Sportline? With the Pro-Kit, you can probably get away with no camber adjusters.

As daje00 said, another option is to go with the Tein Basis. That's what I have. It's a great, cost effective combo for daily driven cars.

Found a sweet deal on a set of Tein Basis Z coilovers. I need to find a place to install them. Ya'll know ballpark what the cost is to install? I'm sure the dealership will be a rip off. Also, what setting should the car have with this setup? Do the coilovers come preset from the factory? This is my daily driver and not super concerned with performance.

$20-30 per corner. should be preloaded from factory, don't touch the spring preload setting. just unlock lowest perch and rotate shock body to find your desired height, and adjust valving (clicks SOFT ~ HARD). if you daily put it like 6-8 clicks away from full soft all around

you can also try to DIY. not that hard. takes me an hour to do it on a rsx after so many times now. a beginner should take 4-6 hours.

Great. Thanks for the info. I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to install myself. I recently got an amazing deal on the following oem replacement parts for the front suspension.

END, TIE ROD
53541-S7A-003 - Set of two

LINK, L. FR. STABILIZER
51321-S5A-003

Link, R Front Stabilizer
51320-S5A-003

BUSH, STABILIZER HOLDER (19MM)
52306-S6M-A01 - Set of two

KNUCKLE, L. FR.
51215-S6M-A00

KNUCKLE, R. FR.
51210-S6M-A00

I was like while I'm replacing the struts I might as well replace the above components. The car is 18 years old and needs a fresh set of suspension pieces.

Anything that stands out to be a bitch to install?

Forgot to mention what the best ride height is without purchasing a camber kit?

Hey the Tein basis Z doesn't have adjustable damping. The only adjustment you can make is the ride height. If you want the Adjustable damping you need the street advance Z. I have the street advance Z and I love them.

why change knuckles if its not damaged? if you want to improve the stability i'd recommend bushing kit.

The most you'd need from knuckles is the ball joints and those you can get seperately.

Ok. I'm installing the coilovers this weekend. What is the best ride height to set at and how do you do that exactly? How much will the car drop without any adjustment from the factory? I'm just street driving and don't need the car to be slammed and have any issues with camber and premature tire wear.

Have you opened the coils yet? There should be instructions inside on adjusting height, and Tein does have a recommended ride height. To adjust, you twist the collars on the bottom of the shocks with the provided wrench.
