I don't know specifically why, but I do know that a fogger works - try doing a search for 'direct port' and see if you can find an educated answer - BTW, do you want in on the pulleys?

hmm...I don't think that I will do that now...

But its just think that direct port would be safer cuz each cylinder would get the same amount of n20 instead of depending on the airstream to divide the it, anyways i don't know that much really but that is what i was told...I know that single fogger is much easier to install and it is easier to remove when you need to take your car to the dealership...

BTW when will you acctually get the kit?

DP is theoretically safer, but because of the high compression of the RSX and the VTC, it's quite unsafe at this time to spray in big amounts. The problem with using really small jets is that when they are that small, they tend to be inconsistant. A safe shot for a DP setup is an 80 without having to worry about inconsistances. I'm not sure an 80shot would be safe on the RSX because of the VTC though. Does using a 10shot jet sound very comforting for a 40shot?

If anyone has a true story, regardless of what type of car it is, please share it with us and include all of the details and most importantly, why it happened.

I blew a hole the size of a baseball through the block of a b16a about 2 years ago using a NOS kit (60 shot dry). This stuff is addictive. You have to KNOW what you are doing.

All I can say is good luck, but with the RSX you are probasbly playing a dangerous game. The car is too smart @ this time.

Me too. Ran a 70hp shot of NOS dry setup in my 98 Prelude. Made 234hp to the wheels!! And then blew my engine. All I saw was a check engine light when I was racing a Z28. I shut down the NOS right away and it seemed to run fine. The next day, I started the car up and this horrible tapping sound came from the engine. The mechanic said I detonated and basically melted my piston while scarring my head.

NOS is awesome and it gives you guaranteed hp. But it has a few drawbacks. I was running out of N20 fast. I'd go thru 2 bottles a month @ $40 per fill. Not to mention, it only felt strong for the first 1/3 of the bottle which sucked. Also, I did install the NOS kit onto my RSX and jetted it only for 20hp (cuz I didn't want to blow another motor) and when i autox'd, the inspectors gave me crap for having all these wires everywhere. BTW, N20 bottles are not allowed when you autox, so I just pulled the kit off. I not really into speed like I used to be. If I was, I would've bought the WRX or waited for the 350Z, EVO VII, STI etc...

will a bottle heater keep your pressure up until the n20 is consumed. I assume that will give up a stronger jolt of power, right?

Yes a bottle heater would help, plus a gauge to determine what PSI you're running. NOS recommends that you run at about 900PSI. I didn't have either but I did have a remote valve so I could leave the N20 bottle valve on all the time and then pressure the line with just the switch.

BTW, I'd be careful with N20 for obvious reasons. Especially for the dry or wet kits. Why? They tend to put more N20 into one cylinder than an even distribution of four. When I blew my motor, the number one cylinder had the melted piston and the number two cylinder had signs of detonation as well. The 3 and 4 cylinders were ok. Direct port is the way to go. You drill and tap 4 holes into the intake manifold and mount 4 foggers a few inches away from the valves and now you get an even distribution of N20 per cylinder. This still isn't foolproof but at least better.

Some good practices. Check the spark plugs regularly for unusual wear in some/all the cylinders. Get an air/fuel gage to check for lean conditions. And don't run N20 for extended periods of time. I believe the NOS manual recommends less than 15sec squeezes.
