I've been wondering about this for a while. I want to know if there are any effects on my type-r wing. I really dont care about the paint since its not in the greatest condition. I will be painting the car in a while. I've been hand washing the car since i got it. But since it got a bad layer of dirt and inside is pretty bad too, i thought abouy taking it to a full service car center. The thing is that they use an automatic car wash.
Is it safe for the bolt on wing to go through the wash?
My paint is pretty bad so I have gone through automatic washes., the only problem is that any bit of lowering can cause the car to make all sorts of "fun" noises from the mechanism of the car wash.
Go find a car wash that doesn't have any brushes , just the sprayers. Utilizes high pressure water to get dirt off. thats the only kind of drive thru car washes I use but most of the time I wash it myself.
