I thought it seemed high considering how much less it would have been had I done it on the front end. It does include shipping, cleanup and prep so I don't have to do any of that. I haven't had any luck finding someone local unfortunately.
So I have some black soot I'd like to get rid of in the hot side of the turbo. Turbo is still in great shape with excellent spin/shaft play so I don't want to take it apart. I'm thinking paint brush + gasoline to clean up the backside. Any worries doing that?
Curious if any of you guys have ever purchased anything from kmod performance. They have a k24a engine built for about $6400. Is it worth it? :dontknow:
Once I get the motor done I'll can work on the turbo side. I'm thinking of something like a sidewinder with a borg warner s400 or something along that size (GTW3884R or 6766).
I think that'd be a beast of a setup, but that's alot of $$$ lol are you not planning on doing any work yourself? Honestly...you're probably better off selling your car, and buying Jeff's for a little more than just buying a built motor/trans from KMOD....
Just pulled the trigger on a new comp turbo. It's a CT43 ball bearing, 78/80 with 1.32 turbine housing and 4" outlet. Should get me into the 4 digit range.
