I know a guy who has a full stage 2 cobalt and he was only pulling 9.35's at a 1/8th mile track not spinning and he was on street tires. I bet the cobalt guys are a little peeved about the new turbo cobalt having more power and trq than the stage 2 supercharged ones that are running around now.
well when i saw full stage 2 i guess i was misleading, this guy is running the factory exhuast and header as well, but he did have it tuned by a gm person as well.
i go out to races every friday with my buddies cobalt and they respond really well to mods i mean full bolted stage 2 with 2.8 pulley and he rapes 335's
a dealer can only void a warrenty because of aftermarket parts if they can rule that that specific part was directly releated to the broken part...like if you have drag radials and you break an axel or mess up the tranny.... but in the case of you burning a hole in a piston or blowing one out the side of your block lol i believe you'd have a hard time convincing them to replace it much less getting them to believe that it "just happened"
havent had any problems with the car since putting down those number. i have a friend has blew his motor and the dealership replaced it for him no problem and I just had my 2nd and 3rd gear replace in my tranny no questions asked.
