Cool Getting Headers and straight pipe. need some suggestions!

whats up guys/gals
I have 2004 RSX type-s.
I bought the car from a private owner and he already modified the car.
DC sport headers. AEM cool air intake. Apex exhaust muffler
Recently my CAT(already broken) and the pipe the follows it broke.
Took it the shop they told me that the previous owner welded the pipe and CAT too close and welded the front end of the CAT and the headers badly. Also that the Headers are rusted badly.
SO now i need New headers and CAT but the exhaust end(muffler) is fine.
I am thinking about getting a straight pipe. I know a Tunner who will help me pass inspection.
Or a hybrid CAT.
What do you guys suggest I should do?
Btw nothing too crazy expensive since i am a broke college student at the moment.

the info doesnt help. What kind of muffler style are you putting on and what type of muffler you already have?

Btw if you have a muffler its not a true straight pipe setup
