what do you mean how do you launch @ 5500 .. shit where the hell are you comming from .. .. try launching @ 5500 .. only thing is traction .. say you got slow 60's b/c of traction your trap speed will be high .. traction aint nuttin more than rear mounts .. and good wheels .. and to be more serious .. full mounts and lsd ..

i really disagree with everyone who says it is the 60' time...when i went to the track for my first time in this car, i had never even launched it and my best run that time was a 14.7 w/ a 2.5...that was above sea level and with correction that is a 14.2 with a 2.5 60' with only intake and exhaust

i honestly think it is either
a) his driving
b) his driving
c) his driving
d) nitrous pressure was too low

but as i said, i'd bet on that whole "his driving" thing because i can score under 10 second 1/8 mile runs with that kind of 60' with no nitrous

was that the first time you have sprayed? did it feel MUCH faster than stock? if not, you should make sure your nitrous solenoid isn't fried or something...if your bottle was full, you shouldn't really have to worry about the pressure seeing as a full bottle even at that temp should give you > 1000psi (at least it does for me)

so solutions could be
a) learn how to drive a little better, launch better, shift faster etc.
b) hook the solenoids upto ground/power (the 2 wires coming off of them) to make sure they are both opening (you will hear a fairly loud click when it is touching both power and ground)
c) make sure the jets are correct
d) make sure the bottle pressure is correct
e) race your friend that was there with you again...maybe this time from a roll (after you have checked everything above) or maybe race someone else with an rsx

i give little merit to the corrections..... because if you would have had a 2.2, theres no way in hell you're running a 13.6 with i/e. however, 14.1 with a good 2.2 60' is definatly beleiveable.

also, where was the run at?

oh man, nevermind...i told my times to a friend of mine who said he plugged it in and that was what he got...i just looked it up and it isn't even close to that

but i still stand by my 14.7 w/ a 2.5 60' with only intake and exhaust showing that the 60' time doesn't necessarily mean it will be such a shitty run

I got a 2.3 60foot and only got a 15.127 at dragway 42. I trapped at 93mph. Then again when I shift into second it spins so if i get better tires im sure 14's are there.

you're basically just throwing fuel into the engine. great way to blacken your plugs. you'd rather throw in more fuel than not throw in enough, but even at 1000 psi + the nx jets are still geared fuel rich.

the higher the bottle pressure, the more nitrous is going to go into the engine when you're spraying. the perfect mix is between 1000-1050. anything less, and you have too much fuel.

i think as much as we speculate what the issue is .. we agree with one of the problems

Driver .. * get more practice man .. it's your first time at the track don't expect too much .. like someone said .. run it stock .. and see what kind of times you get ..

don't worry dude - my first trip to the track i pulled 16.55 @ 86 w/2.5 sixty all stock. i managed to pull that down to 15 flat all stock. after a few runs....

you should be able to tell if it's spraying not...

make a pass wo/ spraying and that will answer that question....

i like to launch high as well ~4.5-.55k - nothing wrong there hell you are going to spin out off the line but it can't be crazy like shit,

and you're running the bitch hard to near fuel cut (8.1k) off right?????? bounce the bitch off the limiter-

on stock wheels?

taking the spare and jack out?

your 17" are not helping matters either... put the stock wheels back on for the track.........

you're not bogging the bitch down off the line are you?

with a 50 shot I ran 13.8 @ 102 theres no reason no matter how bad of a driver you are to run that low of a mile an hour with your mods, something doesn't sound right.

If there was nothing in the bottle it just sprayed fuel making the car run extremely rich and you had to of noticed it, the car starts to bog out and runs like shit

practice, practice, and more practice. that's the only way to get good times. dragging NA and dragging with nitrous requires a different racing technique. too bad I was never able to run with the nitrous in my car, but all stock, i was able to pull off a 14.8 @ about 80ft. above sea level. Stock tires too mind you.
