Why go single fogger over direct port?

Just wondering why the majority of people choose the single fogger sytem over the direct port???

I believe it has to do with cost and ease of install. single fogger is just that, whereas the direct port method requires multiple nozzles, and means more drilling, etc. I may be wrong though.

Direct port is safer and causes less stress on the engine though right?

As I understand it that is correct. It is better because the ratio of nitrous is more even;y distributed ecause each cylinder is getting an even spray. With the single fogger, most people install it in their intake just before the TB. That means that the nitrous has to mix with the air before it ends up in each chamber. You can end up with one or more combustion chambers having unequal ratios of nitrous/air/fuel. I don't know how much less streesful direct port is over the single fogger because they are both creating more power which means ore stress on the engine, but I would think that overall the direct port method would at lesat be consistent, and therefore would cause the stressing to e more evely distributed between the cylinders and rods, etc.

yes, single fogger is a bit more "universal" and easy to do.

besides, some of us were around when the first rsx was blown on the 75 shot dp by aem (if i remember) and some are still afraid.

don't remember, i believe it was something with them adjusting timing and such, ...... i think it was a 75 shot dp. ( this was like 2 years ago)
