Midlana looks cool. What is the power goal? 400whp+?
What is the target wet weight?
The sky is truly the limit when you can weld. So much you can build.

Midlana weight will be about 1500 lbs. Power will be whatever I can reliably get out of 91 octane.

The chassis table prevents the wheels from being at ride height, but figure the outer ends about 4" lower.

All done. Turned out nice. To say that this car sounds awesome would be an understatement. So low and mean, and wild on WOT. Not race car loud, but everybody knows it is there. He's tickled with how it sounds. I have no means to capture the sound, so on with more pics...

It's a stainless system until the mufflers with custom CNC tips from Trevor@Colecraft. Mufflers and tips are aluminum.

the tips are very cool. not sure that I would do that to a Shelby but I look at those cars as a 40 year investment.

With 38,000 slated for production, it's unlikely they will be worth much.
He wanted a unique sound with something different that somebody else couldn't just go buy off the shelf. That was the reason for no stripes too. Even though it cost $300 to omit them!!!

still, it is a Shelby. Wife has an 2010 SRT8 Challanger and there have only been around 3500 black produced for the past three years and hers is the first year of the manual and it is fully loaded so it is pretty rare and I hope it pays off, I can't wait to get done making the payments on it.....

Yeah, not real sentimental on Ford stuff myself.
The SRT-8 challenger is a real nice piece, but it's crazy overpriced up here. It's built in eastern canada and costs about $12,000 more than it does down there...
Yeah, go figure!!!!
The manual would be great with that 425hp, my buddies magnum SRT-8 is auto.

That is a job well done 9bell.
Great looking beads, is it mostly fusion or just smaller filler?

I'm not a fan of autogenous welds. I use filler.
Prep is everything. I use a cold saw, it's perfect. Little bevel on the sander and it's ready to go.
For instance, the Shelby job was close to 15 hours of fitting, and only 5-6 of welding.
Patience is huge, and an eye for the finished product. Every time I do a job, I learn little nuances about this fabrication stuff. I can't wait to be better and learn more!!!!!

More fuel cell welding.....
Filler neck, patch, and a few fittings and brackets for a 60's truck.

Shifter mount for the huge-turbo mustang, just have to fit the height with owner and weld onto tunnel...

Tranny x-member redo to allow poly mount instead of solid...
Previous mount from who knows...

New mount in light-wall stainless with poly...
