Refinancing the house. Its not super cheap, but for an 06 wrx with 30k miles on it that is in FLAWLESS condition as well as has bullet proof engine/transmission Its a damn good price

I have a buyer coming on thursday

And dealers sell these for 17-18 right now.

My biggest advice to you regarding wrx: get the 2.5L.
The difference is just phenomenal.

well then the wrx is probably out, because i really don't wanna do that right now...maybe in a year or two ill get brand new one, right now finances are unstable for a little bit.

i mean i can have my rsx paid off for $9200, but the payments are high (481 a month covered by my company, but the company is in trouble..lol) the g i can probably get into the 300s on a 3 or 4 year loan which would be easier to handle if I have to get a different job, although the gas will be more

It also shifts like ass, rocks side to side from the domestic rumble at idle which really gets on my nerves..lol, get horrid mpg, rear access is a pita because the seat doesnt automatically slide up, u can hear the road through the shift boot, the trunk is really tiny due to the gas tank location, but yeah its quick, has potential to be an 11 second dd i think..at least mid 12s, it is tempting..lol

LSX powered cars drive like construction equipment, the g was quiet, nice and tight, more features and i could boost is if i was so inclined..lol

idk there was a lot of talk about domestics not being so bad around rsx vs all and what not. meanwhile 3 of my friends went from import to domestic.

one guy had a 3.5 altima bought a 2003 mustang "mock 1" (gt with mach 1 badges that he paid a mach 1 price for). its ok i guess, interior is terrible, seating position is awful, it feels less torquey then the altima and it was slower stock. he just spend a grand rebuilding his ac.

my bro had a rattle trap celica all trac and dumped it in favor of the goat, i think he wishes he kept the all trac..lol

another guy bought a 2002 ws6, he was thrilled with it, but everyone who drove it wondered why, he moved away so idk how its holding up

as for german cars, my friend had a b5 s4 got it to run 11s then never drove it anymore and got a civic si sedan

the axle i think was wheel hop...lol

oh and bimmers are either too slow, too old or too expensive, the g is really the only reasonably priced, decent handling, luxurious, quick and rwd option
I'd LOVE to have a GT4. Those cars are fucking awesome! Sucks he sold it, even for a GTO.

Also @ "LSX powered cars drive like construction equipment." Just a really funny way of putting it.

Honestly if driving feel is a big concern, you may find yourself pleased with BMW's offerings. They're probably about as reliable as an Infiniti product will be.

not according to CR or anything else ive heard and even still im gonna have to settle for a 325, and id rather have an is300 at that point. also the stigma of rolling into work in a bmw when things are not doing well

Legitimate concerns. You're really going to have to just make a list top to bottom of your priorities in a car and realize that you'll need to make some sacrifices here and there.

What's that old saying? I think it's:

Cheap, fast, reliable, if you want 2 you have to sacrifice 1.

Hammerhead i-Eagle Thrust is on a distinguished road Hammerhead i-Eagle Thrust is on a distinguished road
yeah

well maybe i need to make a rating scale

from 1-10

like 1/4 mile: 18 = 0 17.5 = 1 17 = 2 16.5 = 3 16 = 4 15.5 = 5 15 = 6 14.5 =7 14 =8 13.5 = 9 13.0 or better = 10

probably not gonna be buying anything that starts off much faster then 13.0 i mean your talking about an svt cobra, or a REALLY well driven STI or LS2 goat or something way more expensive for lower then 13 stock

practicality

2 door 2 seater with tiny or no trunk(mr2 spyder) = 0, 2 door 2 seater w/ trunk(s2000) = 1, 2+2 with trunk = 2, 2 seater w/ hatch =3 2+2 with fastback hatch = 4, 2+2 with bubble hatch = 5, 4 door 5 seater w/ trunk = 6, 5 door wagon = 7, 5 seat suv = 8, 7-8 seat suv = 9, minivan = 10..lol

fuel economy (combined)
10 mpg or less = 0, 10-12.5 = 1, 12.5-15 = 2 15-17.5=3, 17.5-20=4, 20-22.5 = 5, 22.5-25=6 25-30= 7, 30-35=8, 35-40= 9, 40+=10

all weather traction + braking
rwd open diff = 0, rwd lsd = 1 fwd open diff = 2 fwd lsd = 3 part time 4wd = 4 full time 4wd/awd = 5
braking 60-0 140 ft = 0, 135=1, 130=2, 125=3, 120 = 4, 115 = 4.5 110 = 5
obviously tires are a huge factor, but u can always change those

handling
skidpad .7 =0, .75=1 .8= 2 .85= 3 .9=4 .95+= 5
slalom 55=0 60=1 62.5=2 65= 3 67.5=4 70+=5

interior 1-5(subjective)
exterior 1-5(subjective)

reliability - based on consumer reports i guess :shrug: black dot = 0 half black dot = 2.5 empty dot = 5 half red = 7.5 full red = 10

ride quality 0-5
road noise 0-5

personal preference 0-10 (subjective)

ok lets do some..lol

oh also the g35 drops my insurance $86 every 6 months...not too great but its something
moving upstate drops it $401!

ok ratings, open to suggestions on my rating system..lol

G35 Sedan
1/4 mile = 7(should be below 14.5 with the 6 speed)
practicality = 6
economy = 4
all weather traction + braking = 1(i think it has LSD) +4.5(114 ft)= 5.5
handling = 2.5(.84)+3(65.6)=6.5
interior/exterior = 3.5+3= 6.5
reliability = 7.5
ride/road noise = 7?
personal preference = 7
total = 55.5 out of 90

RSX
1/4 mile = 7(i ran a 14.3)stock would be 6-6.5
practicality = 4
economy = 5
all weather traction + braking = 2+2(~130 ft)= 4
handling = 3(.86)+4(68)=7
interior/exterior = 3.5+3= 6.5
reliability = 7.5
ride/road noise = 3.5 (4.5 stock maybe)
personal preference = 6
total = 50.5 out of 90

i think this is flawed somewhere around the bad weather part..lol

WRX
1/4 mile = 8
practicality = 6-7
economy = 5
all weather traction + braking = 5+1= 6
handling = 3(.86)+4(67.5)=7
interior/exterior = 2+2= 4
reliability = 5
ride/road noise = 5?
personal preference = 5
total = 51(52 for wagon) out of 90

I can't believe you actually quantified EVERYTHING. It's impressive you've put this much thought into your next car. I really hope you end up with something that makes you happy, G35 or WRX or IS or 3 series or whatever.

Going to have to disagree. Far from a downgrade, but to each their own.

Please pass me whatever it is that you are smoking.

The WRX is a great car, especially when compared to the G35. The G's interior is definitely on the low end as far as "luxury" goes and it doesnt really bring much to the table in the performance department either. If having a sedan and awd and luxury is THAT important to you, you wouldn't be looking at anything infinity has to offer.

If you prefer the G35 over the wrx thats fine, but don't throw bs reasons out there to justify it. This is the wrong forum for that.

get it. lol im being biased. i got mine for 15k, pay 177/month for it. Insurance is 111/month and thats with a reckless driving ticket. should go down to even less in september bc thats when the ticket is off my record.

yea i want a faster car but for the situation im in its perfect.
