I actually think the person working on the car before me screwed up the timing when he tried to change the distributor cap - the 1 and 2 cylinder ignition wires were mixed up, and the guy who sold me the car said he never worked on the car, but the guy before him "replaced the distributor cap". This makes me think that guy, instead of fixing the fuel pump and injectors, just fucked up the timing for me.

Also, here's a question. What if I just take out the crankshaft position sensor shaft assembly (which is attached to the back of the distributor obv) and keep adjusting it, putting it in, firing it up, take it out, adjust it, put it back in, fire it up, until I get it to start?

Also my injectors don't make a sound when I rotate it, so I assume this means they're all bad? :\

Your CAS and your injectors have nothing in common. Unless I'm totally lost and not understanding you, but when you spin your CAS the injectors are not supposed to spray. I don't know where you got that from.


BTW the crank and cam position sensors being installed inproperly is a BIGGGGG contributing factor to the car not starting.

What I'd do if I were you is go and read up on the forums about how to properly install and set up the CAS on the 240's. I don't imagine it being too hard. Those cars are easy as shit.

Reinstall them properly. Then try to start the car.

The car fires its ignition according to what the crank and cam position sensors read.

I don't know where he's getting the whole "spin the CAS and injectors will pulsate" mumbo jumbo.

Thinking about it, it wouldn't matter anyway. If the car isn't runnng there'd be no pulse to open the injector solenoids anyway.
