Cost is a stupid comparison for these 2 setups, especially with the above statement. Define "much of a suspension" so we can be on the same page. Tein SS is fully adjustable, Mugen isn't. That in itself could be the difference in cost.
Or it could be that Mugen put all their work in R&D since the design of their setup was already created. Mugen is esentially all spring/shock research in a stock container. This would keep the cost down a lot.

Agreed. Mugen is great for the fact that alot of R&D went into the design. While the freedom of adjustment is a great thing too. When adjusting height, camber and alignment have to be adjusted too.
