A while ago, I posted that I was getting some serious static/noise from my JVC KDSH909. The problem was the Bose amp.
I had just hooked it up with the wiring harness and although the sound quality was better, there was noise. I bypassed the amp this weekend by just putting a jumper wire between the correct wires down at the amp's connector. The noise problem has completely gone away. I highly recommend bypassing the Bose amp. :thumbs up:
so if i understand what people are saying, i could yank the bose amp out since i have put in a seperate amp for the speakers i put in, and still have everything work?
Need help with my audio connectors type s
Does anyone have any idea how to connect a male connector to the harness since the idiot who owned the car just ripped out the connector from the harness? thanks
Need help. I have 2006 rsx base model. My friend gave me the rsx-s radio with the OEM amp. I would to install it but need to know what wires need to be together on my rsx base model.
you can't w/o the full wiring from a type s Base model feed from the HU to the speakers Type s feed from HU to amp under the seat then from the amp to the speakers so the wiring is not there in a base.
Could have just ordered a aftermarket setup from crutchfield and put a nice size amp in and better headunit. Since they provide the instructions on how to do everything its almost idiot proof
im having technical difficulties fml!!
can i just cut the amp harness and put the wires with each other to jump it?
i did that and i only have sound on the pass. side -_-
This all looks like such a pain in the ass, especially for me not being the most experienced with wiring :ugh: Just got my new amp and head unit in the mail today
I have an aftermarket head unit, sub, and amp for the sub. I've been using the hu with aftermarket speakers and haven't bypassed the bose amp. This week I've lost all sound but the hu still functions properly.
I've had my Bose sub forever, but I got rid of the Bose amp a long time ago. I use an Alpine HU, I was wondering if I can hook up the HU straight to the Bose sub without the amp involved.
Is post 463 with or without an amp?
I don't run rear speakers so I figured I could bridge those wires together to actually get some power to the sub.
What HU are you using as if you are bypassing you need to be using an aftermarket HU and the 70-1721 harness, do not use the 70-1725 harness and try bypassing as it uses an aftermarket HU's rca's to integrate with the bose
If you are using the metra harness it includes pre amp outputs and in this case you would want to leave the amp in the loop. If you use a standard harness without rca connectors than you should bypass the amp
