I've been reading up alot on superchargers now. I have a stock 06 type s and I was going to go N/A but now I'm thinking about SC. Just to clarify, I can add a SC to my stock car with no other modifications needed?

you need lots of other parts like header, intake, exhaust. BUT the engine can remain stock

Correct, intake/header/exhaust just free up more power. SC, injectors and engine management and you're set to start.

Where seems to be the best price to get the comptech system, and is it cheaper to purchase K-Pro separately from a different dealer, or as a kit with the charger?

well, one person said that the engine could remain stock. All that needed to be done was the installation of the SC. Then the second person said that i needed injectors & engine management?

1. so which one is it?

nowhere on the websites for the CTSC or JRSC did they say that I needed purchase the injectors separately or that they were included with the kit...???...

2. also, is the ACM (Advanced Control Module) from Comptech, what you mean by the engine management, or are we talking about K-Pro?

Stage 1 with Reflash requires no injectors

Stage 2 or more requires larger injectors

and anything after is considered a custom job....

www.comptechusa.com <----it says everything u need to know

and K pro is an engine management

jackson racing uses a powercard <---i dont recommend

CTSC uses a k100 hondata reflash <--- its ok for stage 1 but your injectors will be maxxed out with stage 1

I would also like to add a few things...

Comptech...

stage 1

Stock Injectors with Reflash
or
Stock injectors with K Pro (recommended for a better tune and performance)
or
520CC injectors with K Pro ( recommended for a better tune/performance/higher redline

Stage 2
520cc Injectors reflash avail
or
520cc injectors with kpro (for better tune and performance again)

After that

More then 7 Psi

650 or 750 CC injectors recommended
(however i run 520cc at 9 PSI with 100% duty fuel cycle) <--not recommended

JRSC <--- different story i will let someone else talk about that
basically it comes with powercard...which runs dumb rich and is not htat great of a tune last time i heard

its better to go with k pro whenever possible and is highly recommended

by accident all supporting mods:
cold air intake
Race header
and
Exhaust

are recommended

Trying to find a comptech SC for starters( they went outa business) but are coming back in the next few months..

Search button my friend...and read this FAQ

First you need to establish (after you find the S/C) what boost level or power you want

STage 1
Stage 2
Or "custom"

and Intake Race header(since your in california, you will have a hard time passing emissions with a race header so a good shorty header and a high flow cat is recommended) and Exhaust are always recommended

None, the comptech 05-06 is a direct bolton to all years as long as you use Kpro

Sorry if this seems a little noob but I remember seeing somewhere (on this board I think) that you need new spark plugs for the kit. I'm looking to get some NGK iridium plugs (or something of higher quality if you can recommend one) but am unsure which ones are right for this kit. The boards aren't too specific and in the part store there's no line saying the difference in plugs other than the price tag.

On another note, I'm going to guess a boost gauge does NOT come with the kit, so I was wondering what company I could go with for a good gauge, if I need one; as you can tell I'm unsure of what a gauge would do other than tell you how much boost you're running, temperature, or shift times. Thank you for any and all help!
