Damn, those are some very nice numbers for an untuned setup! Can't wait to see the dyno tuned plots.

well, here it is. My tuned graph. I'm...somewhat dissapointed. But it was really hot out and we were having a problem with IAT's hitting like 130+ cuz the radiator hose is against the intake, heating up the air. I have to go get some heatwrap.

Mods - Kpro, Crower Stage Two 3/4 Race Cams, Supertech Spring and Ti Retainers, Prodrive 2.5" Exhaust, DCRH, AEM CAI, RBC Intake Manifold, Hondata IMG, 550 CC Injectors, Ground Wires...I think that's all for performance mods.

I tried taking video of some of the runs, but my camera is shit for taking vids and they came out HORRIBLE. Anyway, other graphs are listed in my sig or in this thread, if you search. You can see the progression. But my numbers aren't any higher than my last run. HP is actually about 2 lower. =\ Well, whatever. I need a new exhaust header.

*Edit* Oh, redline was the base run when I arrived, blue is the tuned run.

I wouldn't be disappointed Kevin, looks great to me! I bet it feels a whole heck of alot smoother than before the tune. If you free up the exhaust and intake sides a bit I bet you'll make a great deal up top.

Ya, ALOT smoother. It's really nice. I guess I was just expecting to see a gain with a tune as opposed to before, but it looks like pacdawg's map that I was using was working pretty well. Hehe. But ya, I really want to get a better header now, tryin to figure which one to get. And how so do you mean free up the intake side? In what manner?

Oh, my bad. A bit confusing, in your post you mentioned that your mods included a prc. I didn't notice in your sig that you already have a rbc.

Does the dyno at Church Automotive read close to flywheel numbers?

No, it's just slightly higher than typical dynojets; about 7% higher.

oh yeah ... sorry about that ;P I didn't mean to just leave.

I think my dyno #'s are too high anyway ...

here is my dyno graph ... sorry about the crappy quality ... the scanner here sucks.

The blue line was my previous tune, back in april [with a cracked flexpipe, stock brakes, weapon r filter]

the [faint] yellow line is my current tune ... fixed flexpipe, stock injen cai filter, new big brake kit [13" rotors vs. 10" ... which I'm sure is slowing me down a bit ... pun not intended]

edit: forgot my mods:

stock internals K20A, ep3 idler pulley [no p/s], T1R 2.5" b-pipe, DC5R muffler w/ 2.5" axleback piping, Injen CAI, Nextgear IMG, t/b coolant bypass, Toda RH

Dunno, shawn said something about the dyno you were on being like 1% higher than the other bigger dyno he had (the one I was on on saturday, I was on his smaller dyno previously). But no, I don't think you're numbers are too high for k20a motor. Though I didn't think the type r cams could hit those numbers. Or the toda/ssr header really makes THAT much of a difference up top.

I guess. I've seen other itr-cammed dyno sheets on this site and they don't make as much power ... I just don't think my numbers are accurate ... especially since he was tuning in 3rd gear ... which is like ... 1.517:1

also ... you missed the s2k that was there before u got there. it was stock, but had a spoon exhaust, some ecu tuning device and itb's. the itb's didn't have the velocity stacks on them though ... it made 214 hp on the dynapak 4000 [your dyno] ... pretty low ... but shawn was saying he guaranteed at least 20 hp if he got the velocity stacks and a test pipe/header

I dunno .. just thought it was interesting ;P

Are the numbers on the sheet of yours from a 3rd gear run?

Crazy ass itb s2k. Hehe.

yeah, that's a 3rd gear run... even though it says like 104 mph or whatever for max power. it should only be like 55 mph.

like I said earlier, I requested a 4th gear run and it showed 263 hp ... which is definitely not right. Maybe the tuner already inputted the gear ratios for a 3rd gear correction?

100 in third is about right if he was going up to like 9 grand. I can get up to about 95-100 in third or so in third.

uh really.

my 3rd goes up to ~82-85 mph.

1 - 42
2 - 63?
3 - 83-85
4 - 113?
