So I got nowhere last time I asked this partially because I was not specific. I need help because I have a Rbc that I bought after someone only shaved it and they took off the MAP sensor mounts. So, where else can I put it? Some say 05-06 only require mani located MAP, some recommend all years. Thanks for the help in advance. Pics coming soon
Excellent! Not to question your statement because you have been very helpful in the past but do you know this from experience?
The way I look at it is the only difference between the tb and Rbc location is maybe some turbulent air at the tb. But why would there be any differences between the prb and Rbc? I guess that's my real question
Yeah like I said the guy who I bought it from messed it up but I got it with a ktuned adapter for 200 so I took the risk. Is there anything wrong with the way mine is?
I am going to retune my Ecu after this of course. So I guess this answers my question. It's just interesting that people with 05-06 claim it idles poorly. I suppose that could have to do with changing idel duty cycle and target in parameters.
Any passages on the mating surface of the TB need to line up with a hole in the gasket and a passage in the adapter. If I remember correctly, these passages tend to be in the shape of a groove (rather than a round hole), so they just need to overlap some, and that is where you'd want the hole in the gasket to be.
If that is less than optimum, you can probably just grind a little passage into the adapter (as I did for the IACV on my RRC).
My case is a little different, as the Hybrid TB bolts directly to the manifold without an adapter. Also, that thread was for a Base RSX, so might be some differences.
Okay so basically make sure everything lines up with holes and I may have to make a groove in the ktuned adapter and gasket right?
And I have two tb gaskets. One came with the ktuned adapter and another I got because it was the p2r thermal gasket. One for the mani to adapter and one from adapter to tb right? Or do I only need one?
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
