***Official Pedals Thread***

Well...got them and installed them. I'd like to tell you it was easy...but I snapped a few times...almost cried once, made 3 trips to home depot...

lol, to be honest the install should be really easy - the clutch, brake, and gas went on real nice. When I got to the dead pedal I had more grief than you could imagine. Every metal screw that I had left, broke off in my drilled holes for the dead pedal...so I had to drill them out etc...of course I had no light and my flashlight batteries went dead. And of course my drill bit broke. And of course I got to home depot and had forgotten my wallet....
There's more but I am too bitter to talk about it

Anyway, here they are...tell me what you think.

ha, thanks guys. i was surprised by how "thin" these things are.

I must say the clutch and brake install very nicely (bolt on).
I am not to sure how I feel about how the gas and dead pedal install...I guess once I got the dead pedal in I feel it is solid - could only get 2 screw in instead of the 3 though. I guess on the gas pedal I just don't like how you have to screw into the rubber

Anyone had an experience taking this off? I only tried to get it off for about 30 second

The gas and dead pedals need to be drilled into the stock rubber/plastic. The brake and clutch pedals can be drilled directly onto the arm, or you can drill it onto the rubber covers also.

I just installed my Autovation Grid Series Racing Pedals couple of days ago. The most annoying part was obviously drilling the clutch and brake pedals and for some reason the bolt (not the screw) that it came with were so soft that they just broke off as I was trying to screw them in. But yeah, i just got some nuts and bolts from home depot and I think they actually look nicer than the hex bolts that original came with the pedals. Other than that, install was pretty straight forward. I think the end product looks pretty nice and adds a little spice to the interior. Here are some pics.

how do the Autovation Grid Series pedals grip when wet? i tried the skateboard griptape idea and it works great when dry but as soon as a little snow gets on them they are slippery as shit.

I find it weird how for gas pedal you drill into the rubber whereas the clutch/brake you drill into the metal pedal itself.

Looks good though, I've been planning on getting these since forever.
